Arizona for Christmas

I spent the holidays in Arizona with my parents and grandma.  It was a great long weekend full of eating and enjoying the desert.  Highlights from the trip:
  • An evening lumenaria tour of the Desert Botanical Gardens with live Christmas music performed throughout the garden.
  • Watching LeBron James single-handedly destroy the Phoenix Suns with Uncle Phil and family.
  • Mom's birthday dinner of shrimp cocktails, lobster tail and fettuccine alfredo.  We paired the meal with two very different bottles of chardonnay.  Both were Californian, but one used no oak and the other was from Sonoma and tasted quite similar to Nickel and Nickel.

  •  Our trip to Sedona

The worst part of the whole weekend was the flight home.  Due to weather issues around the country, my flight home was four hours delayed making me one tired customer  at work on Tuesday. Merry Christmas, everyone.
